Blog Update! For those of you not following me on
Facebook, as of the Summer of 2019 I've moved to Central WA, to a tiny mountain town of less than 1,000 people.
I will be covering my exploits here in the Cascades, as I try to further reduce my impact on the environment. With the same attitude, just at a higher altitude!

Hopefully, mine is en route as well. I am looking forward to it.
Yikes. I'm kind of scared to read it. I won't want to eat ANYTHING. And I just got over my fear of fast food from Fast Food Nation. Mmmmm...McDonald's cheeseburger...(drools)...
I am SO not your typical blog reader, hmmmm? ;-)
Hope my copy gets here in time, too! I ordered from Amazon (I know, shame, delivery/shipping gas being burned and I'm not even carbon-offsetting it, but they had it in paperback! And for cheap!).
Should we read up until a certain page number for the first set of discussion questions or just read as much as we can?
vanessa - the first set of questions will cover the first section ("Corn"). It's about 120 pages or so, but you'll have the whole month of May to add to the discussion.
I just got my book today and it looks like a pretty quick read. Although I'll be paying more attention than usual to come up with some questions :)
I am so excited that there is a blog on Omnivore's Dilemna. I read it last year and haven't stopped talking to my friends and my students about the book. I teach a social justice class in a Catholic High School in Idaho and have encouraged my students to read both Fast Food Nation and Omnivore's Dilemna. Omnivore has been one of the most insightful books I have ever read. If you haven't gone to the blog noimpactman.com I encourage everyone to check out that blog daily. Look forward to the discussion come June. chuck
