Today's giveaway is for the book Confessions of an Eco-Sinner: Tracking Down the Sources of My Stuff, by Fred Pearce. You may recognize him as one of the science writers for New Scientist as well as author of the climate change book With Speed and Violence. According to Wikipedia, Pearce has been described as one of Britain's finest science writers and has reported on environment, popular science and development issues from 64 countries over the past 20 years. He specializes in global environmental issues, including water and climate change and frequently takes heretic and counter-intuitive views - "a sceptic in the best sense", he says.
