Does closing off rooms or just turning the heat off in parts of the house count?
My threshold is to wait until the outside temp goes down to 40 F before turning on the heat. This weekend we had 40 degree nights and a sick dog w/ back/hip pain so bad he's dragging his hind legs. For his comfort I turned on the heat at night instead of roughing it with extra blankets on the bed.
I posted about the challenge on Saturday...catch me next time ;-) I'm so excited for this challenge (especially since I got the family on board...it was shaky ground for a bit)!!! Thanks for hosting!!!
Just added a note about your challenge to my blog! Does heating only with a woodstove count as participating? :)
Zev - Heating with a woodstove only counts as participating, mostly because wood is consider carbon neutral. But just don't go crazy with overheating the place :)
