Blog Update!
For those of you not following me on Facebook, as of the Summer of 2019 I've moved to Central WA, to a tiny mountain town of less than 1,000 people.

I will be covering my exploits here in the Cascades, as I try to further reduce my impact on the environment. With the same attitude, just at a higher altitude!

PW Cooks winner

Now, before I tell you who the winner is of the, apparently highly coveted book, The Pioneer Woman Cooks, I wanted to tell you that if you didn't win this time around, you'll have another chance soon. You see, Ree emailed me after I announced this giveaway and has offered an additional three! books for another giveaway.

So, if you didn't win this time, don't go away crying. I'll be doing a second giveaway in mid-November for the three cookbooks, so you'll have another opportunity to get a crack at this very awesome book.

Okay, now the moment y'all have been waiting for....

The winner is #4: Kelsie

Go figure, out of about 445 entries, the chosen one is #4. Oh, the fates. Anyway, Kelsie, send your contact info to crunchychickenblog@gmail.com. Congratulations!

As for the rest of you, keeps your eyes peeled for the next giveaway :)

I was in a bookstore yesterday and flipped through, I love the photos. My mom ordered one for me for Christmas, so I didn't buy it then. However, my dad and brother were in Oklahoma for the big OSU football game yesterday and told us they have a surprise that is related to PW and the cookbook... we're hoping it's a signed copy :)

The New York Times just had a round up article on new cookbooks and the Pioneer Woman's book was featured - it received high praise from the writer.

I just wanted to pop in and tell you I love your blog. I also had to sing the praises of the PW cookbook. I got it as an early birthday present from my mother because I have been a fan of PW for a long time. Anyway we have been cooking out of it since I got it and have not found a recipe that I did not like. I plan to buy one for my daughter to put in her hopechest because she has been cooking out of it and really loves it. Which is saying something for a 16 year old who would much rather be in the barn than in the kitchen. Any way I love your blog and
