Sunday is poll day! Here we go...
I've had a poll regarding toilet paper usage in the past and wanted to see how willing people are to going the next step -- using washable cloth instead of toilet paper.
Don't worry, tomorrow is the Ask Ed Begley, Jr. Interview and Contest announcement!
Already do! :D I've used cloth diapers and cloth wipres on the boys for a while, and recently switched over to cloth for the rest of us too.
ReplyDeleteI think the fact that I didn't have kids and never dealt with poopy diapers is why I'm having a hard time working up the nerve to go to #2 as well as #1. If the cloths need washing out before tossing in the bucket, that's using more precious desert water. Plus then the sink is icky and I'll feel like it needs de-germing all the time. I just don't understand the actual logistics of handling the poopy cloths...advice? Very specific details, anyone? I've read about putting the (clean) cloths in a warmer with solution and like that. It's just dealing with the soiled ones that befuddles me.
ReplyDeleteI definitely plan to use cloth 100% in the near future. I'll likely place a (cute) lidded container (with soapy laundry water) in the bathroom. I'm just not sure if I'll use the soapy water on the clean cloths or to soak the dirty cloths before I dump the container in the front loader for extreme hot water sanitizing (no chemicals necessary).
