A thought to ponder, while you while away the time until healing overcomes this interruption.
Does cold food affect weight gain or loss? Many of those of us with GERD (reflux disease/disorder) know that drinking something cold stops digestion . . cold. And food can remain, undigested, in the stomach for an unconscionable number of hours.
Drinking or eating cold foods chill other organs as well. The thermal shock interrupts digestion at the very minimum.
(I find that hot decaf or herb tea, or hot water, accelerates digestion for me, and is now part of my response to a moderate or major reflux incident.)
So along with chemical toxins, should iced food or ice cubes be considered a thermal toxin?
Take care of yourself. We'll see ya when you're up to it.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon. Take care of yourself.
