Finding nature

We spent Labor Day Weekend here:

Sleeping here:

Hanging out with these guys:

Hiking through here:

Catching our breath here:

And yet the kids still loved seeing this:

And even this:

I'm always amazed at how kids can find nature fascinating even in its smallest forms.

  1. I love the way kids love stuff like that. I used to work with kids and they are notoriously afraid of bees. Well, I have the unusual ability to catch bees in my hand (without getting stung.) It's a great party trick And I was able to convince 75% of my program that bees were not the Devil! haha!

  2. Here on Canada's East Coast, we observed nature in the form of Hurricane Earl. Not as bad as feared but I would have preferred to be watching a garter snake or two. Earl tore up my garden but it seems to be recovering. Nature is resilient.

  3. Looks like a fantastic weekend.
Children do have an awesome way of focusing our perspective on things we might overlook.
    Great pics!

  5. If it weren't for my children, I'd unfortunately (ashamedly) walk past half the world!
