Good question. I'm not very good at making resolutions of any sort at any time because I never keep them anyway but there are a couple of things I hope to do.

I am currently involved in a 2 year programme in Spiritual Direction and my reading has led me to think there are a couple of things I would like to try and do: one is living more consciously with an attitude of thanksgiving and gratitude - not just for the good things in my life but for the hard times as well because I have, and continue, to learn as much, if not more, from the hard times as the good times.

I would also like to spend more time in solitude in nature to see what lessons I can learn there.

Since I have absolutely NO interest in a "little house on the prairie" life, and a huge interest in sharing time with my grand (soon to be grands), I'll be removing this site from my bookmarks.

We bought day-old Red Star chicks in early September, and that's the route we'll go again when we want more.

All three of us handled them frequently from when they were quite young until they were about 2 months old. Nowadays, my hubby does the wing-clipping and other hands-on stuff, and several of the gals will let him scratch their heads. I don't handle them anymore but I do feed & water them, and let them in & out of their pen, and they're pretty comfortable around me.

It's a blast and then some watching them grow from day-old chicks (well, three days old by the time we received them). Highly recommended!
