There might be a small increase in the number of feathers around during the spring but I'm not sure. Normally though, when I open the coop door and a huge puff of feathers comes out it's b/c someone did their molt all at once and now they're naked. I know m...Do you think something tried to get her? I know mine haven't lost any feathers yet, but our neighbors chickens did and it was a weasel! (And we live in the city.) He got 2 of theirs eventually so be wary. Looking at solar panels because I want to put one that will run our heat lamp in the winter and fan in the summer.
