M.I.A. - Ask Crunchy

Sorry I didn't get a post up earlier, but it's been a little nutty around here. I have two kids starting school tomorrow: one in Kindergarten and one in preschool.

I'll try to post something tomorrow or Thursday at the latest.

Wish us luck!

In the meantime, it's been two months since I've put up an Ask Crunchy post. So, now's your chance (again) to ask me whatever your heart desires.

As an FYI, my next post will be about The Challenge and, based on the poll (and my own busy self), I'll be starting the first book club post on September 25th. I hope you all can wait!

Hi, Just found you through your spiffy wipe banner on another blog. Must admire that challenge. We do not have a washer of our own. As it is I only do a real load of laundry about once every three weeks.(Yes, I have tons of underwear!) Dh does his maybe a bit more often. Using cloth would increase my washing a lot, but if we buy a house, and have a kid, I would like to use cloth diapers. And, if all that happens, hey then the cloth wipes are just the next step!

Great blog!

What made you decide to put your kids into a school rather than homeschooling?

Crunchy,

How do you stay encouraged and positive? Everywhere I turn it seems there is just more and more bad environmental and/or violence in the news. I do my part, but sometimes it just seems like it won't be enough -- even though I can only do my part and I realize that.

I'm just curious on how you deal with those emotions...

Hmmm...how about a post about clotheslines?

I think I need to build one myself, because I don't want something shoddy, everything's so shoddy these days, and I want something that I can fold up and put away when not in use--maybe a retractable line.

FYI, I'm going to be creating some wiki pages on my own website on recipes that are based on global commodities (flour, beans, rice, that sort of thing) AND home-grown produce. Emphasis on protein-complimenting and natural ingredients.
