Blog Update!
For those of you not following me on Facebook, as of the Summer of 2019 I've moved to Central WA, to a tiny mountain town of less than 1,000 people.

I will be covering my exploits here in the Cascades, as I try to further reduce my impact on the environment. With the same attitude, just at a higher altitude!

The one pretty big change is that our temperatures soared. To keep a poorly insulated brick (rental) house at a reasonable temperature, we have to run the evaporative cooler a lot longer now than a month ago. Nights may not cool much below 80 degrees and the radiant heat from the bricks turns our house into an oven. So I expect our electric and water use have gone up. However, the gas bill received yesterday showed the lowest gas use in 3 years!

Wow! I thought the results of the poll really highlighted how incredibly useful this challenge was!
